Palm Beach, Fla., Jan 1—The chamber of commerce has wired Miss Ida Wanna, captain of the 1925 Vassar daisy chain and all-American selection, offering her 500 thousand dollars to dance with an all-star daisy chain here some time. Jack Dempsey was offered $2,500,000 to pluck the first daisy but replied that he must be allowed to pluck two violets at one million dollars apiece as training for the strenuous task.

Miami, Fla., Jan- 2.—The business boosters’ committee, determined to make Miami the winter athletic capital of the world, has wired an offer of five million dollars and two square inches of suburban property to Mith Thuthie Thmith, thtar thenter of the Thmith college May pole danthing team, to danth with an all-thtar team here on May day, which is observed February 6 in Miami. Miss Thmith is thaid to be conthidering the offer.

Kissimmee, Fla., Jan 3.—The Rotary club has wired Fred Fulton, world champion canvas kisser, an offer of 10 million dollars to defend his title in a finish bout with Joe Beckett of England, runnerup, as the main event of Kissing week in Kissimmee. The promoters of the bout promise to furnish a ring made from selected banana skins.

Coco Rococo, Fla., Jan. 4.—As the monster climax of the annual Liars’ festival, celebrated on Munchhausen’s birthday, a local holiday, two of the foremost American fight managers today were invited to meet two prominent local realtors in a finish contest for a purse of $250,000,000,000.35, plus the fiction rights.

Several hours later telegrams were received from the fight managers, both stating: “I never told a lie in my life.”

The festival committee immediately raised the bid to $500,000,000,000,000 and a cup of coffee.
